Where awards show are, fashion and beauty are sure to follow. This Emmy weekend, there will be a number of gift lounges and parties on, but these two are specifically dealing in beauty and fashion.

On Thursday night, Evan Handler and Pamela Adlon of Californication (he, of course, also starred as Harry in Sex and the City) will host Los Angeles Confidential’s annual pre-Emmy party at the London West Hotel on the rooftop. This year, it will include a fashion show by Lauren Berman, the designer behind the very successful Black Halo line, which is all about tight body-conscious dresses. Her new line is Eve. Also being promoted are a new fragrance by Fendi called Fan Di Fedni and TW Steel Watches. Because Californication is on Showtime, the network seems vaguely involved with the party -- which means, possibly - the stars of Homeland could show up?

On Friday, HBO will open the floodgates to its annual Luxury Lounge at the Four Seasons Doheny, the 10th annual. L’Oreal will be offering hair, makeup and manicure appointments to both HBO nominees and stars (Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman and the stars of True Blood, Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire) and other Emmy nominees. In the past, this was a playground for Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, James Gandolfini and Edie Falco -- yes, it’s the kind of weekend guys get their nails buffed.

There’s such a good variety of great sponsors for the HBO Luxury Lounge along with L’Oreal -- Motorola, Pandora, Brahmin Handbags, Nautica, Uppababy, The James Hotel, Logitech, Basil Hayden bourbon and Michael Antonio footwear -- that the gift bags are sure to be sensation.
