Emmy Poll: Which Show Should Win Best Drama Series?

Hulu/Photofest; Netflix/Photofest

With three nominations, Netflix leads the category.

On Sept. 17, seven of television's best will battle it out for the coveted award of best drama series at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards.

With HBO's reigning champion, Game of Thrones, ineligible this year, the category is brimming with breakout shows such as Stranger Things, Westworld, The Handmaid's Tale, This Is Us and The Crown. Emmy veteran House of Cards received its fifth nomination in the category this year, but has yet to take home the title. Additionally, AMC's Better Call Saul was nominated for a third time, as the Breaking Bad prequel strives to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, a two-time best drama series winner.

Online streaming services have asserted their dominance in the category, with Netflix scoring three nominations (Stranger Things, House of Cards and The Crown) and Hulu getting one (The Handmaid's Tale). Still, HBO's chances stand strong, as sci-fi thriller Westworld managed to acquire a total of 22 noms this year.
