Emmys to reach more than 150 territories

Fireworks International inks new deal for awards ceremony

LONDON -- More than 150 territories around the world are set to air the 62nd Primetime Emmys this year, with regions as far afield as American Samoa and Eastern Europe tuning in for a night of glamour Aug. 29.

New deals for the show -- distributed by Fireworks International -- have been struck with broadcasters including broadcasters including Orbit Showtime (Middle East), Turner Entertainment (Germany), RTE (Ireland), Sony Latin America (Latin America), TV3 (American Samoa), M-Net (Africa), Fiji TV (Fiji), Metropolis for True Vision (Thailand) and Non-Stop (Scandinavia, Benelux and Baltics).

This adds to a roster of ongoing agreements which will see the event continue to broadcast via AXN (Japan), TV2 (Denmark), SET (Spain and Portugal), HBO Ceska (Eastern Europe), Hot Vision (Israel), Orion Cinema Network (Korea), TV3 Media Prima (Malaysia), ABS-CBN (Philippines) and CNBC (Turkey).
