Emmys: 'The Voice' Wins Best Reality Competition Program

Stephen Colbert is hosting the ceremony, airing live on CBS.

The Voice won the Emmy for best reality competition program on Sunday night.

Producer Audrey Morrissey accepted the award on behalf of the cast and crew calling the show a "family." She added, "It's the fun and it's the love and it's the heart that we all have that somehow translates onto screen."

"When I say family, I really mean it. The countless kids who come and share their artists with us."

The show beat out NBC's American Ninja Warrior, Lifetime's Project Runway, VH1's RuPaul's Drag Race, CBS's The Amazing Race and Bravo's Top Chef.

The Primetime Emmy Awards are being handed out at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Stephen Colbert is hosting the ceremony, airing live on CBS.
