Endemol promotes creative exec Roemer

Will start job as global head of programming in January

LONDON -- Endemol CEO Ynon Kreiz has promoted veteran Endemol creative executive Paul Roemer to the new post of global head of programming, it was announced Thursday.

Roemer, one of the key creative minds behind the launch of "Big Brother" in 1999, has been managing director of Endemol Netherlands since 2002 as well as part of the reality producer's global creative team.

Reporting to Kreiz, Roemer will take up the post Jan. 1 and will manage Endemol's global creative execs as well as acquiring third-party intellectual property rights, and will work with Endemol COO Marco Bassetti and chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis.
