Endemol promotes Gardner to head of PR

Will coordinate communications across reality TV giant

LONDON -- Endemol has promoted Charlie Gardner, director of communications of Endemol U.K., to the newly created role of global head of public relations, working with and reporting to Paul Johnson, who takes up the role of global head of marketing and brand partnerships in March.

Gardner, who joined Endemol U.K. in 1999, will liaise and coordinate communications across Endemol, the creator of such shows as "Big Brother" and "Wipeout," and will take the new post with immediate effect.

The global reality producer spans 25 countries and has recently announced expansion plans in the Middle East and South America.

Endemol chairman and chief executive Ynon Kreiz said global communications was crucial to Endemol's growth.

"Charlie is a highly effective PR executive with a wealth of experience in his field and we are extremely pleased to have him fulfilling this international role."
