Entertainment industry exec, attorney dies

David Mayer Jr. worked at Universal, Disney and Reveille

David Larson Mayer Jr., an entertainment industry executive and attorney for 30 years, died Oct. 27 in Santa Barbara. He was 58.

A graduate of Princeton and Indiana University Law School, Mayer worked at Universal Studios, Orion, Disney Studios and most recently Reveille.

Mayer is survived by his wife, Alice Duran Mayer; sisters Deborah Mayer and Dana Mayer; daughter Danielle Duran; son Paul Duran; and grandchildren Ellarie, Collin and Logan Duran.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday at All Saints Church in Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mayer can be made to the National Parks Conservation Assn.
