Entertainment One Picks Up David Linde and Reliance Pics for Canada, Britain and the Benelux

Multi-year deal will see Entertainment One release two to four movies each year.

TORONTO – Entertainment One is to release movies from David Linde’s new film shingle with Reliance Entertainment in Canada, Britain and the Benelux.

The multi-year deal, unveiled Tuesday, will see Toronto-based Entertainment One release two to four new pictures annually from Linde’s new film production and financing company.

Linde created his new film venture with COO Adam Rymer and head of production Tory Metzger, and received an equity investment from India’s Reliance ADA Group.

Universal Pictures has a first-look deal to release Linde's films in the U.S. and other major international territories.

Linde and Reliance have also signed distribution deals with Italia Films, Nordisk Film, Revolutionary Releasing, Sun Distribution and Tele Muchen Group.

Entertainment One expects its first films under the new deal to be delivered in late 2012.
