Entertainment One Takes North American Rights to 'The Silent Mountain'

The Canadian distributor's stateside division also grabs the U.S. rights to Christian Sesma's "The Night Crew."

TORONTO – Entertainment One Films U.S. has picked up the North American rights to Ernst Gossner's The Silent Mountain.

Ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, the Canadian distributor's stateside division has also acquired the U.S. rights to Christian Sesma's The Night Crew, a thriller that stars Luke Goss and Danny Trejo.

Both films, acquired from the Premiere Entertainment Group, will be released by eOne on home entertainment, including DVD and VOD.

Gossner's action-thriller stars William Moseley, Claudia Cardinale and Austrian actor Fritz Karl.

The Silent Mountain portrays a young Austrian soldier in World War I fighting through the Alps to rescue his Italian girlfriend and escape the impending explosion that will rock the mountain.

The film is produced by Heinz Stussak and Gossner.

The Night Crew follows a group of hard-up bounty hunters who must survive the night in a desert motel against a horde of savage cartel killers.

The film is produced by Ryan Noto.
