Ericsson President and CEO Hans Vestberg to Give MIPTV Keynote

Exec to deliver 'Shaping the Networked Society' speech on April 5 in Cannes.

PARIS -- Ericsson president and CEO Hans Vestberg has answered MIPTV's call and will ring in 2011 with the inaugural Connected Creativity keynote, organizers Reed MIDEM said Monday.

In his "Shaping the Networked Society" speech on April 5 in Cannes, Vestberg will discuss his vision of a networked world which, he predicts, will include over 50 billion connected devices by 2020.

Vestberg joined Ericsson in 1991 and, after holding managerial positions across the globe then being named CFO in 2007, was appointed president and CEO of the company in 2010.

Connected Creativity is MIPTV's new global forum in partnership with worldwide mobile industry organization GSMA.

Connected Creativity at MIPTV is sponsored by Orange, Racana, Rovi and Vivendi Mobile Entertainment.

This year's MIPTV will run April 6 – 11 in Cannes.
