ESPN2 picks up Beckham’s first MLS game

NEW YORK -- David Beckham’s potential debut for the Los Angeles Galaxy in a Major League Soccer game has been picked up by ESPN2.

The network will televise Sunday’s match at Toronto FC at 7:30 p.m. ET. Beckham has been sidelined by a left ankle injury, and his status for Sunday’s game has yet to be determined.
The broadcast will be blacked out in Los Angeles. Because it added this game, ESPN2 no longer will televise the Aug. 16 New England-Colorado match.

Beckham made his Galaxy debut July 21, playing 16 minutes in an exhibition against Chelsea.
