'ET's' Brad Bessey to join 'The Talk'

Named executive producer of new CBS daytime chat show

NEW YORK -- Brad Bessey, currently co-executive producer of "Entertainment Tonight," will be the executive producer for new CBS daytime talk show "The Talk."

The recently announced show, featuring Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur, will examine topical events and issues through the eyes of six female co-hosts who are all mothers

Bessey will report to Barbara Bloom, senior vp, daytime, CBS Entertainment.

"Having a producer of Brad's caliber at the reins of the show is a coup for 'The Talk,' " said Bloom. "We look forward to his energy, his ideas and a fantastic launch of this unique daytime show."

Bessey has been co-executive producer of "ET," TV's top-rated syndicated magazine show, since 2005.
