Eugene Levy Joins Canadian Comedy ‘Package Deal’ for Multi-Episode Arc
The “American Pie” star is to play a man unlucky in love in the multi-cam sitcom from indie Thunderbird Films for broadcaster Citytv.
TORONTO – Eugene Levy is to guest star in the Canadian sitcom Package Deal as a man unlucky in love.
Levy will appear in three episodes of the multi-camera comedy as a repeatedly-married man whose wives keep mysteriously dying, providing a challenge for his lawyer, played by series lead Randall Edwards.
The Canadian sitcom from Thunderbird Films for Citytv portrays three overly-close brothers and the woman who comes between them.
The comedy from Andrew Orenstein (Malcolm in the Middle, 3rd Rock From the Sun) also stars Julia Voth, Harland Williams and Jay Malone.
Citytv ordered 13 half-hours of Package Deal, which is shooting this Fall in suburban Vancouver, ahead of broadcast as a mid-season series in 2013.
Endemol Group will distribute the series internationally.
