EuropaCorp. expands into int'l marketing

Former Warner Bros. exec Steve Rubin hired as VP

PARIS -- Luc Besson's EuropaCorp. is extending its media empire across the globe with the creation of an international marketing division.

Steve Rubin will head up the new unit as vp international marketing, following his run as director of international development at Talent Group, EuropaCorp. said Tuesday.

Rubin previously worked as managing director of Warner Bros. France and UGC-Fox Distribution.

EuropaCorp's new branch is part of the group's strategy for international development. The group's recent theatrical releases have proven profitable in overseas markets, with "Taken" making $218 million at the boxoffice and "Transporter 3" raking in $101 million.
