Eurosport Channel Heading to U.S.

The sports network, co-owned by Discovery Communications and France's TF1 Group, will air on a programming block on Discovery's Velocity network.
BERLIN – Eurosport, Europe's leading all-sports network, will air in the U.S. for the first time in its 24-year history thanks to a deal with Discovery Communications. The Eurosport block is set to go out on Discovery's car-focused cable channel Velocity.

Starting Sept. 28, the two-hour block, called Eurosport in Velocity, will air from 1pm to 3 pm ET/PT, with repeat airings Sunday mornings. The block will feature Eurosport's motorsports highlights.
Discovery and France's TF1 Group are co-owners of Eurosport, which is carried in 59 countries across Europe. The network has been riding high in the past few years with record-breaking ratings.
Most recently, Eurosport drew 17.1 million viewers for its coverage of the Tour de France cycling championship.
