Evans upped at NBC


Veteran NBC executive Bruce Evans has been promoted to senior vp current series at NBC.

In his new position, he will continue to handle many of NBC's current series and will take on new responsibilities as head of daytime programming, now included under current series. He will report to executive vp current series Erin Gough Wehrenberg.

Evans also will be a liaison for NBC’s exec vp diversity Paula Madison in the network’s efforts to increase diversity on all shows.

Evans, who joined NBC in 1996 as an entertainment associate, has served as vp current series since 2000. Among the current series he has overseen are “Heroes,” the “Law & Order” franchise, “Medium” and “Crossing Jorda.”
