Evergreen picks up 'Little Krishna'

3-D series already had successful run in India

HONG KONG -- London-based TV distributor Evergreen Entertainment has picked up international sales rights to “Little Krishna,” a 3-D animated kids series that is the first production of Big Animation, an offshoot of India’s Reliance MediaWorks group.
“The series offers such a fresh look from anything that we have seen to date coming out of India. It has already done phenomenally well since its premiere on NICK India,” said Evergreen CEO Steve Walsh. “It is very well written, the animation is great and is in 3-D which adds to its attractiveness.”
The 13-part series has already screened on NICK in India and earlier this month won the best animation award at the Asian Television Awards in Singapore. Nick has since added licensing and merchandising rights, while Hungama has licensed digital rights including, mobile ring tones and digital wallpapers and another RMW unit BIG Home Video bought home video rights.
Evergreen company will begin to market it internationally at Kids Screen Festival, New York and MIPTV next year.
