The actor also says he "heard rumours over the years" about the mogul.

Ewan McGregor is the latest actor in Hollywood to condemn the alleged actions of Harvey Weinstein.

"Weinstein. It's about time this came to light and he is getting [his] just deserts," the Fargo actor said via his Twitter account Wednesday. "Heard rumours over the years but this is awful. Bye Bully!"

McGregor and Weinstein worked together on 2013's August: Osage County.

On Tuesday, The New Yorker published its full report detailing rape allegations against the mogul by three women. That story comes after last Thursday's New York Times exposé that outlined decades of sexual harassment claims leveled against Weinstein. The mogul has since been fired from his company, The Weinstein Co., as more women — including model and actress Cara Delevingne — have come forward with accusations against him.

Meryl Streep, McGregor's co-star in August, also spoke out against Weinstein. "The disgraceful news about Harvey Weinstein has appalled those of us whose work he championed, and those whose good and worthy causes he supported. The intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse are our heroes," she said Monday.

"The behavior is inexcusable, but the abuse of power familiar," Streep concluded. "Each brave voice that is raised, heard and credited by our watchdog media will ultimately change the game.”

McGregor's comments come after other leading men in Hollywood have made similar statements. On Tuesday, Leonardo DiCaprio — who worked with Weinstein on several films including The Aviator, Django Unchained and Gangs of New Yorkbroke his silence on the reports. "There is no excuse for sexual harassment or sexual assault — no matter who you are and no matter what profession," he wrote on Twitter. "I applaud the strength and courage of the women who came forward and made their voices heard."

George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth and others have also put forth similar statements.
