Exec vp Dages on the move at Warners

Warner Bros. exec Chuck Dages was named executive vp emerging technology at the studio's Home Entertainment Group.

In his new role, Dages retains his executive vp title but moves from Warner Bros. Technical Operations to the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. The move was anticipated, along with the promotion of Darcy Antonellis to president of the studio's Technical Operations unit, following the recently departure of the studio's CTO Chris Cookson, who also held Antonellis' new title, and is now president of Sony Pictures Technologies.

Before his promotion, Dages was executive vp emerging technology at Warner Bros. Technical Operations. In his new role, Dages will continue to oversee Motion Picture Imaging, which is the studio's postproduction facility, and the Advanced Media Editorial department, which prepares feature films for distribution on airlines, cable networks and broadcast television. Additionally, he will lead projects involving industry and government groups related to repurposing the studio's entertainment assets. Dages will also work closely with Technical Operations; he will report to Kevin Tsujihara, president, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

Before joining Warner Bros., Dages was vp of East Coast operations and vp engineering at CBS Television Network. He has won three Emmy Awards for technical achievement.
