New Line has promoted Nicole Butte to vp interactive promotions and media. She will oversee all interactive media and promotions for New Line's theatrical and home entertainment releases. Butte was a director of marketing at Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment and worked at Virgin Entertainment and E! Entertainment.

Shari Weisneberg has been appointed to the newly created position of vp strategic marketing at Sci Fi Channel, where she will lead all sales marketing initiatives for the network's brand. Before joining Sci Fi, she was marketing director at Bravo, where she was responsible for the development of British Airways' integrated partnership of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," which earned Mediaweek's media plan of the year; Macy's sponsorship of "Project Runway"; and Sears' sponsorship of "Top Chef."

Melanie Moreau has been elevated to vp development at CMT, where she will be responsible for the creation, development and production of original programming. Before joining CMT, Moreau was vp development at Greystone Television, where she developed projects for Comedy Central, Bravo, Discovery Health, FX and VH1. Moreau also served as a producer and writer for A&E's "Biography," E! Entertainment News and Fox Entertainment News.

Maureen Reidy has been appointed COO at IMG Fashion. Reidy, who will be based in New York, will help the company maintain and enhance its leadership position by launching fashion events and expanding its portfolio of new and traditional fashion-based media assets. Reidy was selected by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to serve as president and CEO of NYC Big Events.

Emmy-winning television production executive Steven Lewis has been named partner and CEO at Media Savvy. Lewis has worked at Mandalay Media Arts, Lionsgate Media and Michael Davies' Diplomatic Prods. and has produced series and special programming for MTV Networks, A&E, NBC, CBS, Showtime and WB Network.

Tom Emrey has been upped to executive vp and COO at Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Emrey, who was CFO, will oversee USHE strategy, research, creative and marketing services, technical services, operations and logistics and supply chain.

TV Guide magazine has tapped Gary Kleinman as vp and associate publisher and Christy Tanner as vp marketing and online network development. Kleinman, who has been with the company for six years, has assisted in identifying cross-platform prospects and sales efforts among TV Guide magazine, TVGuide.com and TV Guide Network. Tanner joined the company a year ago and has been instrumental in helping grow traffic and awareness of TVGuide.com.

Mitch Salem has been appointed head of business operations at BermanBraun. Salem arrives from ABC, where he was a business affairs consultant. Salem also was a senior vp business affairs at NBC Universal Television Networks, where he represented the network on many prominent primetime series and in the acquisition of motion pictures as well as supervised and coordinated network business affairs for the USA, Sci Fi, Bravo, Universal HD and Sleuth cable networks.
