Expanded roles for two Gersh reps

Nalibotsky becomes partner; Yarosh will head talent

Reflecting the growth of the agency, Gersh has promoted agents Abram Nalibotsky and Alex Yarosh to agency partner and head of talent, respectively.

The moves follow the recent addition of Daisy Wu, who joined the talent department from Endeavor, and the formation of a film-financing and packaging division led by film industry veteran Jay Cohen.

Nalibotsky, who started as an assistant 16 years ago, has been head of Gersh's motion picture/lit department for the past half-year. His clients include such directors as Richard Shepard (who won an Emmy for the pilot of "Ugly Betty"), Thor Freudenthal ("Diary of a Wimpy Kid") and Tim Hill ("Alvin and the Chipmunks") and the writing team of Josh Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly ("Conan").

The agency praised Nalibotsky's skills at developing and guiding the careers of the clients. Nalibotsky will continue to head the department, which has enjoyed recent successes with Diablo Cody's Academy Award for "Juno" and Marc Webb's Sundance fave "(500) Days of Summer."

"(Abram) is a youthful, popular choice for partnership and having proven himself as a great leader of the lit department," said the agency's David Gersh. "We have no doubt he will make a terrific partner."

Nalibotsky's partnership now brings the number of partners in Gersh's Los Angeles and New York offices to 11.

Yarosh, as head of talent, will run a number of the day-to-day talent meetings among other new responsibilities. He will continue to report to the talent partners.

"Not only does Alex demonstrate tremendous leadership qualities, he has a great eye for the youth market and is great at spotting rising talent," senior managing partner Leslie Siebert said.

Yarosh's clients include television and film actors including up-and-comer Max Thieriot ("Chloe"), Joel McHale (host of "The Soup," whose single-camera comedy "Community" was just picked up by NBC) and comic Bo Burnham (the untitled Judd Apatow/Bo Burnham project).

Yarosh has been with the agency since 2000.
