The pact follows on the heels of a similar agreement between Universal Music Group, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and the social network.

Facebook continues to grow its music relationships.

The social network has inked a licensing deal with Warner Music Group that will cover the company's recorded music and music publishing catalogs.

The pact, similar to one that Facebook has already struck with Universal Music Group and Sony/ATV Music Publishing, will cover the use of songs in videos and messages posted to the platform. It is part of the social network's effort to avoid having to take down videos from users and social influencers for using music without a license.

Facebook and WMG also plan to work together to develop new products that will personalize the music experience.

WMG announced the deal with a video on its Facebook page.
