MacFarlane is behind Fox's 'The Orville,' one of the hits of the fall TV season.

Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy and the new TV show The Orville, has signed with CAA in all areas.

He was previously at WME.

MacFarlane is a multi-faceted talent who has had success in television, film and music.

Through his company Fuzzy Door Productions, he produces such hit television shows as the long-running Family Guy, for which he has won four Emmys; American Dad; Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey; and The Orville, on which MacFarlane also stars and Fox recently renewed for a second season. The Orville ranks among the top new dramas of the fall TV season, averaging a 2.5 rating in the adult 18-49 demographic when factoring in seven days of DVR and boasting more than 10 million multiplatform viewers.

On the film side, MacFarlane wrote, directed and produced Ted, Ted 2 and A Million Ways to Die in the West, which have collectively grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. (Ted is one of the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy films of all time.)

Musically, MacFarlane received an Oscar nomination for best original song for Ted and in September released his fourth album, In Full Swing. The album debuted at No. 1 on the jazz charts (current traditional category). His music career has seen him garner four Grammy nominations and perform with the Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore orchestras and the National Symphony Orchestra.

MacFarlane, who also hosted the Academy Awards in 2013, continues to be repped by law firm Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
