Former FBI Chief James Comey to Appear on 'Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

Comey will be a guest on April 17, the same day his hotly anticipated autobiography 'A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership' is published.

Former FBI director James Comey is set to make an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Host Stephen Colbert made the announcement on Twitter and revealed that Comey will be a guest on April 17 episode of the show. 

The interview comes at a time the Mueller inquiry, triggered by President Donald Trump firing Comey last May, steps into gear.  

Comey will be hard to miss in April as he undertakes a national book tour in support of his hotly anticipated autobiography A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership, due for release on the same day as his Late Show appearance. He is also slated to appear on an ABC News primetime special on April 15.
