Fergie and Josh Duhamel are calling it quits.
The couple are separating after eight years of marriage, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
"With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," reads a joint statement from the couple's reps. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."
The couple have a 4-year-old son named Axl Jack.
In 2015, Duhamel told James Corden that he first met the singer when The Black Eyed Peas performed on his TV show, Las Vegas. "I was really nervous," recalled Duhamel. "It was like my moment of truth. I laid out my outfit the night before, which I'd never done in my life. So it was a big buildup when I finally got to talk to her, and all I could say was, 'You're hot.'"
Fergie, 42, and Duhamel, 44, married in Malibu on Jan. 10, 2009, after five years of dating.
