The Black Eyed Peas and OneRepublic singers will assist coaches on 'The Launch,' to be shot in Toronto.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder have joined Scott Borchetta's TV singing competition series to be co-produced in Toronto with Canada's Bell Media.

Fergie and Tedder, whose writing credits include songs for Adele, will assist coaches, including Borchetta, on The Launch, a six-part talent search series that sees unsigned musicians battle to create the next chart-topping song.

Bell Media president Randy Lennox told The Hollywood Reporter that the reality series is close to landing an international co-production partner after current negotiations, and that a marquee Canadian singer will also shortly be unveiled as a third mentor. The Launch will be shot this summer in Toronto, with indie Insight Productions as the local producer.

Bell Media on Wednesday also said it is partnering with Insight Productions on Shemar Moore's Home Invasion, a design series that sees Moore, a Criminal Minds alum and star of CBS' upcoming SWAT series, and a team of contractors surprise one of his fans with a room makeover.

Bell Media also extended its multiyear rights agreement with the National Football League to pick up Thursday Night Football and become the exclusive broadcaster of NFL games in Canada.
