"Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today (Sept. 26)," reads a statement from his reps. "He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available."
The rapper was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registration card, CBS News reports.
Fetty Wap, who released his self-titled debut album on Friday (Sept. 25), is known for such hits as "Trap Queen" and "679" and "My Way."
"I don’t give a goddamn if the album don’t make it nowhere," Fetty Wap recently told Billboard. "I don’t care if I don’t sell 100 copies if all my family bought it. None of that extra shit matter to me, bro, as long as I get a chance to live a dream a lot of people didn’t."
