'Fifty Shades' to Get International Premiere at Berlin
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to attend the Berlinale screening
Following Nymphomaniac’s global introduction at the Berlinale this February, next year it’s going to be up to Fifty Shades of Grey to get the crowds at Potsdamer Platz hot under the collar.
In an announcement made Monday, Sam Taylor-Johnson’s eagerly anticipated adaptation of the best-selling book by EL James will be having its international premiere as a Berlinale Special Gala. The director and author are set to attend the festival’s onetime screening on Feb. 11, two days before its U.S. release, accompanied by stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
When The Grand Budapest Hotel took its bow in Berlin this year, a special party themed around the film held afterward. The city’s suppliers of whips and chains might want to stock up.
