EmptyCOMEDY, WEINSTEINS PACT
Comedy Central has inked a multipicture deal with the Weinstein Co. for the first-window broadcast premiere rights to a trio of films, including Kevin Smith's upcoming "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." The deal also includes December's "Extreme Movie," which stars Ryan Pinkston, Michael Cera, Christina DeRosa, Frankie Muniz and Jamie Kennedy, and "The Hammer," starring Adam Carolla. "Porno," opening Oct. 31, stars Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. As part of the agreement, Comedy also acquired second-window rights to November's "Soul Men," starring Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac, and "Who's Your Caddy?" starring Big Boi.
LEVINE BACK ATOP LCO
Publicist Michael Levine is stepping back into the role of president of LCO — Levine Communications Office, the PR firm he founded 25 years ago. He replaces Dawn Miller. Levine also has promoted Liam Collopy to exec vp, overseeing talent and literary, and Patricia Anderson to vp operations.
WMA and the Los Angeles Dodgers have formed a "strategic alliance" to identify potential title partnership opportunities in the marketplace. WMA will be granted the ability to approach potential partners for naming rights on physical properties around Dodger Stadium.
