Film London market set for late October

LONDON -- European producers, financiers, sales agents and distributors can mark Oct. 20-21 in their planners as the dates for this year's Film London Production Finance Market.

Held in association with the Times BFI London Film Festival, Film London is seeking to build on the success of last year's event, which attracted $800 million of production value and was attended by 70 producers and 70 financiers, including studios, distributors, sales companies as well as private-equity and hedge fund players, organizers said.

The PFM's main aim is to organize more than 1,000 meetings among producers, film companies and a range of private, banking and public sector financiers.

In addition, the market will include a keynote address from an internationally recognized industry figure, a private-equity financing workshop, networking events and topical case studies.

A call for entries will go out in May, with an application deadline of July 25.
