Film Movement Acquires 'The Colors of the Mountain'
Spanish-language film from Colombia stars a cast of non-professional actors.
Film Movement has acquired North American rights to Carlos Cesar Arbelaez’s The Colors of the Mountain.
The Spanish-language film from Colombia, which won the New Directors Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, stars a cast of non-professional actors -- mostly children -- in a tale about guerilla warfare in the Colombian mountainside.
Film Movement will release the film theatrically on an cable VOD in the summer.
The deal was negotiated by Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein and vp of acquisitions and distribution Rebeca Conget with U-Media’s Frédéric Corvez and Eric Schnedecker.
