Sundance Institute Benefit Honors Roger Ebert
Sundance Institute hosted the third annual Celebrate Sundance Institute Los Angeles Benefit, recognizing artistry and visionary leadership in independent film, at The Lot in West Hollywood on June 5. Sundance Institute president and founder Robert Redford presented the Vanguard Leadership Award in memoriam to journalist and film critic Roger Ebert. Ebert’s wife, Chaz, was scheduled to accept the award.
Kimberly Smith, vp national publicity at FilmDistrict, wed Adam Weinstein, motion picture literary agent at Verve, in a civil ceremony in Los Angeles on May 20, followed by a dual-faith religious ceremony May 25 at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico. Smith, who wore a Monique Lhuillier gown, and Weinstein were joined by 120 guests during their wedding weekend. They became engaged in Paris in 2012 in front of Notre Dame. The newlyweds honeymooned in South Africa.
Andrew Haag, a producer at CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront, wed Kristina Rohall on May 10 in front of 61 guests at Bermuda's The Reefs Resort. The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii.
