Fire Island House from 'The Normal Heart' Is for Sale
The beach house that played a role in the Emmy-nominated HBO film is listed for $3.5 million.
The Fire Island beach estate that played a role in HBO's The Normal Heart has been listed for $3.5 million.
The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house sits on two oceanfront lots and features a two-story living room. "There are only four oceanfront homes on two lots [in the area]," says Jon Wilner of Island Properties, who has the listing. "It's rare."
Wilner said he was approached by HBO last year when he was renting out the property. Broadway composer Jerry Herman owned the two lots on which the house was built in the late 60s.
The property also features a pool, hot tub, secluded deck off the master bedroom and another rooftop deck. A one-bedroom, one-bathroom studio apartment with private deck and ocean access is also part of the estate.
