Five join 'Boy Wonder'

From writer-director Michael Morrissey

Zulay Henao, Caleb Steinmeyer, James Russo, Bill Sage and Tracy Middendorf will star in the drama "Boy Wonder" for New York-based outfit Boy Wonder Prods.

The original screenplay was written by Michael Morrissey ("Off the Hook"), who also will direct. John Scaccia is producing for Boy Wonder. David T. Green and Joe Morrisey will executive produce. Shooting begins Monday in New York.

"Boy Wonder" follows a guy (Steinmeyer) who is looking for whoever killed his mother during a carjacking. At the same time, a string of vigilante murders in Brooklyn are being investigated by a homicide detective (Henao), who gets involved with the guy's revenge quest. Sage and Middendorf play the guy's parents, and Russo plays a hit man.

Henao, repped by UTA and One Entertainment, starred in Rogue Pictures' "Fighting."

Steinmeyer, repped by Essential Artists, recently appeared on ABC's "Lost" and HBO's "True Blood."

Russo, repped by UTA and Cyborg Films, appeared in "Donnie Brasco" and next appears in Universal's "Public Enemies."

Sage, repped by Don Buchwald & Associates, most recently appeared in "Handsome Harry," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The Gersh-repped Middendorf most recently starred in "Just Add Water."

Boy Wonder produced "Under Construction" for DIY Network.
