Five Minutes of 'Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation' to Play Before 'Terminator Genisys' in Imax


Paramount is giving fans a sneak peek of the Tom Cruise starrer before the latest film in the 'Terminator' franchise.

Imax audiences seeing Paramount's Terminator Genisys will also get to see five minutes of the studio's upcoming Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, it was announced Monday.

The sneak peek starts with 7 p.m. screenings of Terminator Genisys on Tuesday and will play on 363 Imax screens in North America. Mission Impossible 4 also got a preview in Imax theaters.

The fifth film in the Tom Cruise franchise, set to hit theaters on July 31, sees Ethan (Cruise) out in the cold and his team facing off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation also stars Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Simon McBurney, Zhang Jingchu and Alec Baldwin.

The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, with a screenplay by McQuarrie and story by McQuarrie and Drew Pearce. Cruise, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger produced the movie, which, like Terminator Genisys was co-financed by Ellison's Skydance.
