Five to vie for Cartoon d'Or

Prize to be awarded Sept. 18 in Ludwigsburg, Germany

BRUSSELS -- A group of French, Belgian and British movies have been short-listed for the Cartoon d'Or prize presented by Cartoon, the European Association of Animation Film.

The prize will be awarded Sept. 18 in Ludwigsburg, Germany, at the annual Cartoon Forum.

The five director finalists are Vincent Bierrewaerts for "The Bridge" (Le Pont); Arnaud Demuynck for "Breakout" (L'Evasion); Pierre-Luc Granjon for "The White Wolf" (Le Loup Blanc); Benjamin Renner for "A Mouse's Tale" (La queue de la souris); and Matthew Walker for "John and Karen."
