Meryl Streep Goes Operatic in 'Florence Foster Jenkins' Trailer

Streep plays a New York heiress with big dreams in Stephen Frears' film.

Meryl Streep has her sights on stardom once again.

That is, Streep's character in Florence Foster Jenkins, the film starring Streep, Hugh Grant and The Big Bang Theory's Simon Helberg. 

The film, directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen), is based on the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress who dreams of becoming a famous opera singer. She is helped by her husband/manager (Grant), an aristocratic English actor who hides his opinions of his wife's talent (or lack thereof), and Helberg, who helps to train her all the way to a concert at Carnegie Hall in 1944. 

Rebecca Ferguson and Nina Arianda also star. The film is being distributed by Paramount in the U.S. and Pathe in the U.K. and France.
