Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate's Nate Mendel Re-Ups with Bug Music

Bug Music, the largest independent music publisher in the U.S., announced Monday that it renewed a multi-year publishing deal with Nate Mendel, bassist for Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate. The publishing house is boasts a roster than includes songwriters Bruno Mars, Kara DioGuardi, Wilco and Kings of Leon. Mendel has been a client since 2001. 

“Bug has been a great company to work with, and they have a cute logo, so I'm very pleased that we'll be continuing to exchange Christmas cards,” Mendel said in a statement. 

Currently in the studio with both of his bands, the Foo Fighters are working on their seventh studio album and gearing up for a sold-out tour of the UK, while a reunited Sunny Day is recording on its first album since 1995 to feature the band’s original lineup.
