Four Kerrang noms for My Chemical Romance


LONDON -- With four noms each, British newcomers Enter Shikari and American rockers My Chemical Romance lead the nominations for the Kerrang Awards, to be held at London's the Brewery on Aug. 23.

Enter Shikari is vying for best single with "Sorry, You're Not a Winner" (Ambush Reality), best album for "Take to the Skies," best British band and best live band.

My Chemical Romance is up for best single with "Welcome to the Black Parade" (Reprise Records), best album, best video and best international band.

Meanwhile, Chicago rock act Fall Out Boy clinch three nominations -- for best album with "Infinity on High" (Island Records), best international band and best video.

Among the acts grabbing two nominations are 30 Seconds to Mars, which is fronted by actor Jared Leto; Muse, Biffy Clyro, Lostprophets and Hellogoodbye.

The nominations are based on a tally of more than 387,000 votes, cast via specialist rock magazine Kerrang and its Web site.
