Fox 2000 Pictures promotes Siminoff

Fox 2000 Pictures has promoted Erin Siminoff to vp production, president Elizabeth Gabler announced Thursday.

In her new role, Siminoff will report to Gabler and will oversee and develop feature film projects for Fox 2000.

Siminoff is a home-grown executive at the 20th Century Fox label, joining the Fox 2000 nine years ago as an intern while attending Pepperdine University.

"Erin's contribution to Fox 2000 has been immeasurable and it is with great pride that I have watched her growth from a college intern into an experienced and accomplished executive, with strong passion and belief in her projects as well as the creative talent with whom she works," Gabler said.

Rising through the ranks, Siminoff was a creative executive on "The Devil Wears Prada" and oversaw production on "Alvin and the Chipmunks," which has earned more than $210 million at the U.S. box office.

Siminoff's upcoming projects include "Ramona," based on the Beverly Cleary children's book series; "Daniel Isn't Talking," based on the book by Marti Leimbach; the screen adaptation of Yann Martel's best seller, "Life of Pi"; and the John Carney helmer "Townhouse."
