Fox cooks up demo win in night of repeats

NEW YORK -- Fox won Monday's primetime in adults 18-49 while CBS' lineup of mostly repeats prevailed in viewership, Nielsen Media Research said.

One of the night's only original programs, Fox's "Hell's Kitchen," was also the big winner in the demo: The 9 p.m. episode averaged 8.8 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/12 share in adults 18-49. Nothing else on the night, original or repeat, came close. The most-watched show was also in that hour, a repeat "Two and a Half Men" (9.3 million, 2.7/8).

Only one CBS half-hour was original, 8 p.m.'s animated "Creature Comforts" (4.7 million, 1.4/5) that was down from last week's 6.2 million and 1.8/6. "Hell's Kitchen" was up from last week's 8.2 million and 3.7/10. ABC's "Ex-Wives Club" (4.1 million, 1.5/4) also was down from last week's 5.7 million and 2.2/6 in the demo.

NBC's only original was 10 p.m.'s "Dateline" (7.3 million, 2.4/7), which came in second against repeats of "CSI: Miami" (9.2 million, 2.8/8) and "Supernanny" (4.8 million, 2.8/8).

Monday averages: CBS (7.4 million, 2.3/7); Fox (6.8 million, 3.2/10); NBC (6.8 million, 2.1/6); ABC (4.7 million, 1.7/5); and the CW (1.5 million, 0.6/2).
