Fox Exec Joins ABC Studios' Drama Development Team

Caitlin Foito, who helped develop "The Following" and "Almost Human," will be vp drama development.

ABC Studios is adding to its drama department.

Former Fox executive Caitlin Foito has joined the ABC Studios team as vp drama development, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Foito will report to Nne Ebong, senior vp drama development.

At Fox Broadcasting Co., where she had been since summer 2011, Foito served as director drama programming for three years. While there, she developed hourlong dramas such as The Following, Almost Human and Rake.

Before joining Fox, she was director programming at Fox Television Studios, where she worked on The Gates, Lights Out, the pilot for FX's Outlaw Country, The Riches, Mental and Defying Gravity. Foito also worked on web-based series.

She got her start as a researcher for documentarian Peggy Case for PBS' American Experience and has worked at Microsoft Studios, the Washington State Film Office, the Seattle Arts Commission, Jodi Rothfield Casting Associates and Miramax/Dimension. Prior to joining the Fox family in 2004, she was an assistant at CAA in the Motion Picture Talent department.

Foito's appointment comes one day after ABC Studios inked an overall deal with Once Upon a Time executive producer David H. Goodman.
