The former Bush White House press secretary will offer "strategic communications and political analysis."

Fox News Channel has tapped former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer to serve as a contributor on both FNC and Fox Business Network, the company announced Monday morning.

"Ari’s decades of experience in political communication and immense knowledge of the White House and its interactions with the press will add valuable insight to our programming," said president of news Jay Wallace in a prepared statement.

Fleischer served for two years under former President George W. Bush, leaving the administration in 2003. He's re-emerged in recent years as a high-powered communications consultant and an analyst on White House-press relations, leaning on his personal experience to comment on the currently strained relationship.

Late last month, Fox News announced that it would bring on Rep. Jason Chaffetz as a contributor following his departure from Congress.
