Pompeo will be a contributor to the cable news channel, appearing across its platforms.
Fox News has hired former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to a contributor role.
Pompeo, who will make his first appearance in his new role on the channel on Friday's Fox & Friends, will appear across Fox News and Fox Business programming.
In a statement Thursday, Pompeo said he intends "to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that helped chart the course for unprecedented American prosperity and security."
Pompeo, who was a congressman and director of the Central Intelligence Agency before being named Secretary of State in 2018, is the most high-profile former Trump administration official to join Fox News since President Trump left office in January.
Fox News previously hired former economic adviser Larry Kudlow to host a show on Fox Business Network, and also tapped former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany to serve as a contributor and co-host of Outnumbered. One of McEnany's predecessors, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, also served as a Fox contributor before stepping aside to run for Governor of Arkansas earlier this year.
