While Fox Nation initially launched in late 2018 with a focus on conservative commentary and bonus content featuring Fox News talent, it has since pivoted toward entertainment and lifestyle programming.

Fox News Media has tapped Jason Klarman to be president of its Fox Nation streaming service.

Klarman will also continue in his existing role of executive vp of marketing, and will continue to report to Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott. In his new role Klarman will be responsible for Fox Nation's content, operations and subscriber additions as it continues its "transformation to a lifestyle and entertainment service," the company says.

Klarman, who was part of the original team that launched Fox News in 1996, rejoined the company as a consultant in 2018, and as its head of marketing in 2019.

While Fox Nation initially launched in late 2018 with a focus on conservative commentary and bonus content featuring Fox News talent, it has since pivoted toward entertainment and lifestyle programming, including cooking shows, documentaries, travel and real estate programming, and even scripted Christmas movies and reruns of Duck Dynasty.

Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch told investors last fall that the subscriber conversion rate is abut 80 percent, though the company still has not released subscription figures.

John Finley, the Fox News executive vp of development who had led Fox Nation since its launch, will continue to lead development for the company.
