Fox picks 'Hole' hosts

Brooke Burns, Mark Thompson set for game show

Fox has lined up actress Brooke Burns and TV personality Mark Thompson to host its Japanese-inspired game show "Hole in the Wall."

Burns previously hosted the game show "Dog Eat Dog" and has acting credits that include roles in the comedy "Miss Guided" and "North Shore." Thompson is a weather anchor for Fox's Los Angeles affiliate KTTV-TV, and provides voiceover for such Fox series as "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"

"Hole in the Wall," from American Idol producers FremantleMedia North America, starts production this week in Los Angeles. The show was often described as "human Tetris" after videos of the hit Japanese version became popular on YouTube. Contestants work as teams to try to fit through oncoming cut-out shapes or else they're pushed off a platform. Fremantle is producing versions of the show in several countries.
