Fox streaming bowl games on Web


PITTSBURGH -- Fox Sports said Wednesday that it will digitally distribute college football bowl games and preview shows on several Web sites beginning Thursday.

The network also said that it would stream the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic on New Year's Day, the first time a major college bowl game has been streamed via the Web. The network will offer a variety of downloads, including full games, condensed versions and previews and highlights of the Cotton Bowl, the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the FedEx Orange Bowl, the Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game.

Participating Web sites include, Fox Interactive, Apple's iTunes and AOL Video, among others. The game previews, priced at $1.99 each, will be available Thursday, and digital downloads of the games will be ready for purchase within 24 hours of the end of the game.

Full-length games will cost $2.99, Fox Sports said.
