Fox takes Thurs. with 'Lyrics'-'Dance' combo


NEW YORK -- Fox won Thursday's daily double in primetime thanks to reality shows "Don't Forget the Lyrics" and "So You Think You Can Dance."

The night started off well for Fox with "Don't Forget The Lyrics" (8.5 million, 3.0 rating/11 share in adults 18-49) taking the 8 p.m. hour in viewership and the demo, according to preliminary estimates released Friday by Nielsen Media Research. CBS's "Big Brother" (7.1 million, 2.7/10) came in second.

The 9 p.m. hour was split between "So You Think You Can Dance" (9.2 million, 3.3/10) and "CSI" (9.3 million, 2.5/8). "Lyrics" was up week to week in viewership and adults 18-49 as was "Dance."

CBS won the 10 p.m. hour in a walk with a repeat "Shark" (8.2 million, 2.1/6), ahead of both ABC's "Men in Trees" (3.3 million, 1.0/3) and NBC's "ER" (3 million, 1.1/4).

Thursday averages: ABC (3.4 million, 1.0/3); CBS (8.2 million, 2.4/8); NBC (3.5 million, 1.4/5); Fox (8.9 million, 3.2/11); and The CW (1.8 million, 0.7/2).
