Fox taking 'Children' to Australia, NZ

Will rename for Down Under release

SYDNEY -- 20th Century Fox Film Distribution has acquired Australian and New Zealand rights to the Chinese-Australian-German co-production "The Children of Huang Shi."

Fox will rename the historical drama "Children of the Silk Road" when it releases the feature here in July, the company said Sunday.

"Huang Shi" was the first film produced under the new Sino-Australian co-production treaty signed late last year, and had its premiere in China in April.

Sony Pictures Classics will release it in the U.S. on May 23.
