Fox's 'Hell's Kitchen' devours 18-49 demo


NEW YORK -- "Hell's Kitchen" heated a summer Monday night for Fox, leading the network to the win in the adults 18-49 demographic.

"Hell's Kitchen" led network primetime in adults 18-49 with a 3.5 rating/10 share while delivering 7.2 million viewers between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., according to preliminary estimates released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. A repeat "Two and a Half Men" (9 million, 2.6/7) topped the night in viewership.

Fox, NBC and ABC had original reality programming at 9 p.m., but it was CBS' repeats of "Men" and "How I Met Your Mother" (7.2 million, 2.3/6) combined to beat "Hell's Kitchen" and the others in viewership.

"Hell's Kitchen" held steady week-to-week. NBC's "Age of Love" (5.5 million, 2.2/6) fell from last week's premiere (6.9 million, 2.5/7) as did ABC's "The Ex-Wives Club" (3.5 million, 1.2/3) compared with last week's 3.8 million and 1.4/4.

CBS won at 10 p.m. with a repeat "CSI: Miami" (8.9 million, 2.6/7) against a repeat "Supernanny" (4.5 million, 1.7/5) and NBC's "Science of Love" (5.2 million, 2.2/6).

Monday averages: CBS (7.7 million, 2.3/7); Fox (5.5 million, 2.8/8); NBC (5 million, 2.0/6); ABC (4.4 million, 1.6/5); and the CW (1.6 million, 0.7/2).
